Overview
Mani Bhavan is the house where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his visits to Mumbai from 1917 to 1934, and where major independence movement decisions — including the Swadeshi movement and non-violent civil disobedience — were made. Now a museum, it displays the room he used, his spinning wheel, letters, and photographs, with a diorama gallery on the upper floor tracing his life. Quiet and modest, it offers a deep look into Gandhi's life. Modest entry fee.
Travel Tips
It's small but a must for anyone interested in Gandhi. Follow posted guidance, as photography is restricted in some areas.
