Opened in 1891 as Osaka's first public park, Nakanoshima Park sits on a narrow island between the Dojima and Tosabori rivers. Its roughly 3,700㎡ rose garden bursts into bloom each spring and autumn with about 3,700 roses of 100 varieties, while modern architectural landmarks like the Central Public Hall and Nakanoshima Library line the riverside for a pleasant stroll. A favorite relaxation spot for Osaka locals, who sit on benches watching sightseeing boats pass by. Free admission. A 3-minute walk from Naniwabashi Station (Keihan Nakanoshima Line).
