Overview
The Frida Kahlo Museum (Casa Azul) is the cobalt-blue mansion in the Coyoacan district where the legendary Mexican painter was born in 1907 and died in 1954. The museum preserves works by Frida and her husband Diego Rivera, personal collections, and the studio exactly as they were. The garden features traditional Mexican sculptures and pyramid-style structures, while personal artifacts like her wheelchair and corset bear witness to her pain and art. A must-visit for anyone interested in Mexican art and women's history. Admission MXN 270 (foreigners, weekends). About 15 minutes on foot from Metro Line 3 Coyoacan station.
Opening Hours

Travel Tips
Online booking is required and weekends are very crowded. Wednesdays are free for locals so even busier; Tuesday or Thursday visits are best. Coyoacan itself is a lovely neighborhood worth strolling.
