Overview
Museo Soumaya, founded by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, is a free art museum whose rippling silver hexagonal-tile facade by architect Fernando Romero has become a Polanco landmark. Among its roughly 60,000 works is the largest collection of Auguste Rodin sculptures outside France (about 380 pieces), alongside works by Dali, Van Gogh, Renoir, and Mexican colonial art. Admission is completely free, making it a favorite for art lovers on any budget. Free entry. 5 minutes on foot from the Antara/Plaza Carso Metrobus stop.
