Overview
Cerro de la Gloria is a small hill inside General San Martín Park, topped by the Army of the Andes Monument, inaugurated in 1914. Admission is free and the site is open at all times, though sunset offers especially striking views over Mendoza city. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown, with parking for around 40 vehicles near the summit. The monument's reliefs and sculptures commemorate General José de San Martín's historic crossing of the Andes during the independence campaign.
