Founded in 1883 by Luis Lavoisier, this traditional market has operated for over 140 years at the corner of Las Heras and Patricias Mendocinas streets. Admission is free. It's open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and Sundays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. With everything from fresh produce to local eateries, it's a great spot for breakfast or a casual regional meal. It's just a 5-minute walk from Plaza Independencia, making it easy to include in a downtown walking tour.
