Banff Avenue is Banff town's main street, with the 2,998m Cascade Mountain framing the view - one of Canada's most Instagram-worthy streets. About 1km of souvenir shops, Canadian maple syrup specialty stores, boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and pubs line the avenue, and you may even encounter elk on the road. Cascade Gardens at the end of the avenue is a free park and a top photo spot. The 1888 Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is within walking distance. Free. Central Banff town.
