Overview
Located near where the Bow and Spray Rivers meet, the falls drop only about 9 metres but spread dramatically across the full width of the river. They gained worldwide fame after appearing in the 1953 Marilyn Monroe film 'River of No Return.' Viewing the falls is free, though the Banff National Park entry fee applies separately. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from downtown Banff along the riverside boardwalk.
