Overview
Opened in 1975 in a former engine shed next to Odense Central Station, this is Scandinavia's largest railway museum, spanning 10,000 square meters with some 50 locomotives and carriages across 20 tracks. It covers the full sweep of Danish railway history, from 19th-century steam locomotives to a royal carriage and modern high-speed trains, with hands-on corners where kids can climb aboard and try the controls. Being indoors, it's a family-friendly attraction regardless of the weather. Admission about DKK 100 (details may change). 3-minute walk from Odense Central Station.
