Overview

Housed in a 1646 Renaissance-style building built on land once owned by nobleman Falk Gøye, Møntergården is Odense's city history museum, first opened in 1941. Its courtyard buildings, with exposed timber framing, are all interconnected and trace the city's development from the Middle Ages to today, alongside a coin collection and archaeological finds. Part of Museum Odense, it can sometimes be combined with the Andersen Museum for a discount. Centrally located, making it easy to fit into a walking tour. Ticket details may change - check before visiting.
