Overview
Just a 15-minute ferry ride from Dubrovnik's Old Port, Lokrum is an uninhabited nature reserve. The island is lush with Mediterranean plants and pine forests, and features Benedictine monastery ruins, a Napoleonic-era fort, and a small saltwater lake called the Dead Sea. Famous as a Game of Thrones filming location, wild peacocks roam freely. Crystal-clear waters make it ideal for swimming and sunbathing.
