Overview
Completed in 1904, this riverside Neo-Gothic giant is Budapest's most iconic building. Stretching 268 m long and 96 m high, it contains 691 rooms decorated with 40 kg of gold. The Hungarian Holy Crown (the Crown of St. Stephen) is displayed beneath the central dome. Inspired by London's Palace of Westminster, it is especially stunning when reflected in the Danube at night.
