Overview
Hell's Gate National Park, near Lake Naivasha, is one of the few parks in Kenya where visitors can hike or cycle freely without a vehicle, since it lacks large predators like lions. Towering red cliffs, the dramatic Ol Njorowa Gorge, and geothermal steam vents create a dramatic landscape that reportedly inspired scenes in Disney's 'The Lion King'. Zebras, giraffes, and buffalo can often be seen up close from the trail.
