Overview
About 1.5 hours by bus from Split, Krka National Park is built around the Krka River and its emerald-hued, multi-tiered waterfalls. The most famous, Skradinski Buk, cascades over 17 levels, and in summer limited swimming is allowed below the falls. Boardwalk trails wind past waterfalls, lakes, monasteries, and rich wildlife. More accessible and less crowded than Plitvice Lakes, it's a top day trip from Split. Admission about EUR 30 (summer). About 1.5 hours by bus or tour from Split.
