Overview
Akchour Waterfalls lie in the Talassemtane National Park, about 40 minutes by car from Chefchaouen, deep in the Rif Mountains. Two routes branch off here - the 'small waterfall' and the 'big waterfall' - with the latter requiring a 2-3 hour hike each way along an emerald-water canyon. Cool off in natural pools beside the falls, or stop at riverside stalls for fresh-pressed juice and a tagine lunch. The 'Bridge of God' (Pont de Dieu) natural arch is also a popular extension. Free entry (parking MAD 10). About MAD 200 round trip by taxi from Chefchaouen.
Opening Hours

Travel Tips
Bring hiking shoes and swimwear. The big waterfall is a 5-6 hour round trip - start early in the morning to enjoy it without rushing.
