Overview
On the opposite side of Mesa Vouno from Kamari village, this black pebble-and-sand beach is Santorini's closest beach resort to the airport. A palm-lined promenade runs the length of the shore, packed with restaurants, cafes, and bars, making it popular with families. In summer you can watch planes land at the nearby airstrip right from the beach, and there's even an open-air cinema some evenings. Water sports like snorkeling and paddleboarding are available to rent. Free to visit (sunbeds about EUR 8-12). About 20 minutes by bus from Fira.
