Overview
Founded in 1947, this is Santorini's largest and most famous winery cooperative. Set on the caldera cliffs near Pyrgos village - about 10 minutes by car from Fira - the terrace offers stunning caldera and sunset views to pair with your tasting. Sample 12 Santorini wines including Assyrtiko, Nykteri, and Vinsanto via various flights (about EUR 12-30), while a guide explains the island's unique viticulture: vines woven into 'kouloura' baskets to shelter them from wind and sun. A wine museum and shop on site offer souvenirs. About 15 minutes on foot from the Megalochori bus stop.
Travel Tips
