Croatia's capital, where medieval architecture and a lively cafe culture come together. The historic churches of Gornji Grad (Upper Town), the fresh produce of Dolac Market, and the buzzing cafes of Tkalčićeva Street are uniquely Zagreb. The award-winning Christmas market and the quirky Museum of Broken Relationships surprise visitors, and the city is a great base for Plitvice Lakes and the Dalmatian coast.
