Zagreb

자그레브

Croatia's capital, where medieval architecture and a lively cafe culture come together. The historic churches of Gornji Grad (Upper Town), the fresh produce of Dolac Market, and the buzzing cafes of Tkalčićeva Street are uniquely Zagreb. The award-winning Christmas market and the quirky Museum of Broken Relationships surprise visitors, and the city is a great base for Plitvice Lakes and the Dalmatian coast.

Best Season

May to September is the best time to visit. The December Christmas market, once voted Europe's finest, also makes winter a great choice.

Budget

Daily budget about KRW 60,000-130,000 (lodging 30,000-70,000, food 20,000-30,000, transport and entry 10,000-20,000).

Transport

About 30 minutes by shuttle bus from Zagreb Airport to the city center. The city itself is easily covered on foot or by tram. Prepaid SIMs are available at the airport (A1, T-Mobile, etc., about EUR 7/week). Card payments are widely accepted (Croatia uses the euro since 2023). Tipping 10% at restaurants is standard.

Korean passport holders may enter the Schengen Area visa-free for 90 days (Croatia joined Schengen in 2023).
